Cosmetic Dentistry and Dental Veneers
What are they and how are they used?
Dental Veneers are custom fabricated by a Dental Lab under the prescription direction of the experienced Cosmetic Dentist unless the veneers are the direct Composite Veneers designed and placed chair side. Dental Veneer materials as discussed in the previous article are determined by multiple factors to provide beautiful results. The Dental Veneer material can be feldspathic porcelain, Leucite reinforced ceramics (Empress), Lithium disilicate ceramics (IPS E-Max), glass infiltrated ceramics (IN-Ceram Alumina), glass free ceramics (Procera Alumina, Zirconia) or direct composite or heat treated Lab fabricated Composite.
Most esthetic Veneers made of Feldspathic Porcelain, Empress Porcelain or Empress fused to E-Max Lab or direct Composite Veneers determine which is the best material for you will be determined by the experienced Cosmetic Dentist at your consult visit.
